SEPHIS – South-South Research Program for Research on the History of Development

SEPHIS studies and combats asymmetries in the production of knowledge and their relationship with social inequalities. Its role is to promote the formation of individual and institutional intellectual capacities that strengthen scientific production and South-South connections, helping to overcome the North-South divide in science and society. To this end, we have promoted workshops, training and publication laboratories, symposia, training in various academic and civil society contexts, and the creation of critical academic and social consciousness in the Global South and in partnership with the North, through various partnerships with universities, research centers, foundations, NGOs and government agencies around the world.
